A practical checklist for preparing a valve inquiry that can be technically reviewed and quoted accurately.
Minimum RFQ Information
- Valve type and quantity
- Nominal size
- Pressure class / PN / working pressure
- Design and test standards
- Body, trim, seat and packing materials
- End connection and facing / pipe schedule
- Process fluid, design pressure and temperature
- Manual or actuated operation
- NDE, testing and documentation requirements
- Coating, tagging, packing and delivery requirements
Why It Matters
Missing pressure, temperature, material or testing information often forces a supplier to quote assumptions. A clear RFQ reduces technical clarification cycles and makes competing quotations easier to compare.
